Trouble connecting an Instagram account

Troubleshooting Instagram Account Connection Issues

If you're facing issues while trying to connect your Instagram accounts and either don't see them in the list, or receive an error message, try the following steps.

1. Check Your Instagram Account Properties

  • Your Instagram account must be a public account type or (Instagram does not permit private accounts to be connected).

  • Ensure that your Instagram account is.

If one or both of these steps are missing or incorrect, make the necessary adjustments.

2. Update your settings

If you have a Business/Creator account and it is linked to a Facebook page, follow these steps to check your settings:

  1. Navigate to Home > Engage > ⚙️ Connected social channels to open the account management panel

  1. Click on Instagram -> Continue with Setup on the pop-up window that appears.

  2. Do not click continue. Click on Edit Settings to access Facebook permissions.

  1. Ensure ALL the Instagram accounts you want to connect are correctly selected.

  2. Verify that ALL Facebook pages linked to your Instagram accounts are also accurately selected.

  3. Turn ALL authorizations to YES

  1. Then choose your Instagram account again and if there are no other issues, you should get a success message.

If you still get an error message despite:

  1. having the right type of account

  2. that it is connected to a Facebook page

  3. that all the accounts selected

  4. all the permissions enabled
