Sometimes, despite your accounts "looking like they are connected", there are permissions missing that cause errors when posting or when we run the API to fetch the posts or channel statistics.
The two main errors are :
161: Facebook/Instagram authorization error when retrieving a channel's posts history or channel statistics. This can occur for Facebook security reasons or incorrect permissions.
187: Facebook authorization error when retrieving a channel's posts history or channel statistics. This can occur for Facebook security reasons or incorrect permissions.
239 : Instagram authorisation error when retrieving a specific post statistics. This can occur for Facebook security reasons or incorrect permissions.
If you have an error message, or an email from us alerting you of a permissions issue, here's how to fix it:
Go to the Permissions panel for your Facebook Business account (click here for direct link).
Note: If you handle multiple accounts, please ensure the correct one is open.
Under the list of connected tools, find Ayrshare and click on View and Edit.
Make sure all permissions are turned on and that all Instagram accounts are selected.
Click on Save
Go back to rapidely
Navigate to Home > Engage > ⚙️ Connected social channels
to open the account management panel
Click on the platform that is creating the error to unlink it
Click on the platform again to relink it
⚠️ Do not click continue. Click on Edit Settings
to access the settings & permissions.
Ensure ALL the Instagram accounts are selected (even if you're not using them with rapidely).
Verify that ALL Facebook pages are also selected.
Turn ALL authorizations to YES
Then choose your Facebook page / Instagram account in the list
If there are no other issues, you should get a success message.
Wait 5 minutes and refresh the rapidely home page It can take a few mintues for systems to synch
Go back into the Facebook admin setting under Business Integration (click here for direct link)
Remove the Ayrshare app
Go back into the Social settings in rapidely and unlink and relink the social media accounts (step 5 above).
If you still get an error message despite:
your instagram account is connected to a Facebook page
that all the accounts selected
all the permissions enabled
unlinking and relinking Ayrshare in the Facebook admin page
