The post composer is your new crafting companion. With everything in one place and an AI assistant, it simplifies and accelerates your post creation journey.
From the home page > click on the Create + Button in the menu bar
If you're preparing a Carousel post, check out our carousel maker. More info here.
When preparing a new post, you must first start by giving some basic information to the AI.
Choose a platform: Click on the dropdown menu to select the social media platform for which you want to create a post.
Type of post: Click on the dropdown menu to select the format of your post.
Select a pillar: If you have already created your content strategy with rapidely, you can select the content pillar our post relates to.
This information helps the AI create content tailored to your goals and strategy.
This is the section where you will write the caption for your post. The caption is an essential part of your content as it provides context for your image or video and can drive user engagement.
You can either write your own or seek assistance from our AI, depending on your preference. Here's how you can use both:
Writing Your Own Caption: Feel free to utilize your unique voice and creativity to make a captivating caption. Just type directly into the 'caption' box.
Using the AI for Caption Ideas: If you need some inspiration, our AI is here to assist. Just click on the magic wand icon and choose 'Write Caption' from the list of tools.
Using AI writing tools: Once your caption is written, you can also use the AI tools for different text editing tasks, such as improving style or suggesting emojis for your text.
Once the texts are generated by AI, you will find them in by clicking on the text output icon.
From there you can either replace the full caption, copy the ai suggestion, add it after the existing caption, or delete it if you don't ever want to use it.
Remember, the AI's suggestions are just starting points and must be reviewed and customized before posting to ensure it's factually correct and matches your voice. The AI uses the primary information you've given (platform, type of post, pillar) to generate these suggestions.
After you have nailed down your caption, it's time to complement it with your engaging visual content. To upload media, follow these steps:
Click on the Media icon > Upload media.
Select an image or video from your device.
Once selected, your visuals will appear in the media box, ready for your post.
Currently only one image can be uploaded at a time.
The type of image allowed depends on the type of post you chose at the top and the format allowed by the social media platform.
If you're feeling stuck on the visual aspect, don't worry. Our AI image ideation tool is here to help stimulate your creativity.
This feature recommends photo ideas or design structures for your posts, based on the caption you've written, so you don't have to start from scratch.
If the element is greyed out or missing it's either that you haven't written a caption, or selected a post type or that you're making a carousel.
Our recommendations are designed to inspire and guide your creative process, not replace it.
Your visual identity is essential on social media. Remember that every piece of content you post must represent you or your company and at this point in time, no AI can do that for you.
Once the ideas are generated by AI, you can find them by clicking on the paintbrush icon in the AI tools menu, and you can run again if needed.

Consider your audience's habits and the time zone they are in when scheduling your post. Does your target audience engage more during weekdays or weekends? Mornings or evenings? If posting on a Meta platform, you can find this information in your Business Facebook page > Active times. Use these insights to ensure your post reaches the most significant number of people.
If your post needs reviewing by a client before posting, update the workflow > Client review.
Make sure your client understands that this is a draft and may need further editing. Encourage them to provide feedback.
